# Kombiwetten **Source:** https://wett-bonus.net/en-gb/kombiwetten **Language:** English (United Kingdom) --- From: Tanya Schubert Last updated: 28.12.2024 # Accumulator Bets Explained and Accumulator Bet Strategies The accumulator bet is the mother of all sports bets and at the same time the highest risk a sports bettor can take. Before we dive deeper into the fascination of 'accumulator bets', let's first make the term 'accumulator bet', short for 'acca', understandable. With an accumulator bet, multiple betting options are combined on one betting slip. Options from the most diverse sports as well as various betting markets (win markets, over/under goals markets in the game, goalscorer markets) for individual matches/events or long-term bets can be combined before the match starts and live. However, all combination bets have one thing in common: **All options on your betting slip must be correct** , for your bet to win. (Exception: You end the combination early with the Cash Out button – more on that later) **What is the big advantage of an accumulator bet?** The big advantage is definitely the higher potential profits, and these arise from the following calculation: With a **single bet** the stake is multiplied by the odds: 100 Euro bet stake multiplied by odds of 1.5 = a payout of 150 Euro; bet profit = payout minus bet stake = 150 Euro minus 100 Euro = 50 Euro bet profit. A **accumulator bet** ist das Produkt des Einsatzes und der ausgewählten Quoten: Erklärung anhand einer 3er Kombi (3 Wettoptionen): 100 Euro Wetteinsatz mal Quote 1,5 mal Quote 2,0 mal Quote 2,0 = Auszahlung von 600 Euro; Wettgewinn = Auszahlung minus Wetteinsatz = 600 Euro minus 100 Euro = 500 Euro Wettgewinn. Beginners often make the mistake of believing that the individual odds of a combination bet are added and not multiplied. But it is precisely this multiplication that is the secret to the high profit potential. **Why is it better to play a 3-fold combo bet than 3 single bets?** If, instead of placing the aforementioned three-fold combo bet for 100 Euros, I were to place three single bets of 33.3 Euros each (so betting approximately the same total amount of 100 Euros), I would minimize my risk, but the chance of a high profit would be lost. Why this is the case, you can see here – numbers don't lie! Single bet 1: Bet stake 33.3 Euro multiplied by odds of 1.5 = 49.95 Euro payout + Single bet 2: Stake 33.3 Euros x Odds 2.0 = 66.6 Euros payout + Single bet 3: Stake 33.3 Euros x Odds 2.0 = 66.6 Euros payout = Ideally, all three single bets win: You receive a payout of 183.15 Euros – minus the stake of around 100 Euros, that leaves a profit of about 83.15 Euros. So over 400 Euros less profit than with a 100 Euro combination bet on the same betting options – provided all selected betting events come true. **BUT:** Single bet 1: wins Single bet 2: wins Single bet 3: loses Even though one bet slip loses (single bet 3), you still receive a payout of 116.55 Euros – meaning a betting profit of 16.55 Euros. In contrast, the 3-leg combination bet would already be lost with just one wrong betting option. You've just lost 100 Euros. With odds of 2.0 or less and combined bets of 4 or less betting options, you will have more long-term success – and also win more – than if you split the same amount across single bets. Even if you have to accept the odd setback due to an interim betting loss, this is the right way to success. If, on the other hand, you bet on odds beyond 3.0, you would go the opposite way here and mitigate the risk through multiple single bets instead of a risky combination. **Combination Bonus** The higher the number of selected options, the higher the risk and at the same time the betting profit. With various bookmakers such as WillHill, Bet3000 etc., in addition to the strong odds, you will also be rewarded with a combination bonus of up to 100% in the top leagues. **High Odds on Combined Bets** If you can save 10% on the exact same product at the supermarket compared to the competitor next door, you do it. Single bets and higher odds work in a similar way. Saving 10% on each of 10 products compared to the retailer next door is undoubtedly great too, but the principle cannot be applied 1 to 1 to accumulator bets and the odds of individual betting options. The importance of good odds – a high payout ratio – becomes exponentially more crucial the more options you have on your bet slip, as demonstrated by the following example: First of all – if betting option wins, the result is the same: 100 times zero = zero. BUT: You place 3 single bets of 100 euros each with odds of 2.1 instead of 2.0 (with a competing bookmaker) on the exact same betting markets: Instead of a betting profit of 100 euros (100 euro stake multiplied by odds of 2.0 = payout of 200 euros minus stake of 100 euros = betting profit of 100 euros), with a bookmaker of your choice (please read the bookmaker reviews on wett-bonus.net, section: payout ratio) you get odds of 2.1 and thus a betting profit of 110 euros. So you've won 10 euros more just by comparing prices (the odds). You multiply this amount by 3, because we're assuming three winning single bets with a 100 euro stake each and odds of 2.1. In total, you get a payout of 330 euros instead of 300 euros = 30 euros more – purely for comparing odds. And now comes the crucial factor with an **accumulator bet** – in our case a 3-fold accumulator (provided all three betting options actually come off). **With the traditional bookmaker** 100 euro stake multiplied by odds of 2.0 multiplied by odds of 2.0 multiplied by odds of 2.0 = 800 euros minus 100 euro stake = 700 euros profit **With a top bookmaker** 100 Euro bet times odds 2.1 times odds 2.1 times odds 2.1 = 926 Euro payout minus 100 Euro bet = 826 Euro. 826 Euro – 700 Euro = **126 Euro extra profit** for one and the same performance (one and the same accumulator bet). This principle becomes more blatant the more betting options you add to your betting slip. With some bookmakers, you can combine any number of options on one betting slip. Suppose you play a 20-fold accumulator and get odds of 2.1 instead of 2.0 for each selection, then in case of a win, the extra profit alone could easily pay for a luxury car. **Cashout button and the chronological order of betting events** All really good bookmakers are currently advertising with a **Cashout button** . A feature that allows you to sell betting markets at any time – minus a small service fee – at the current odds (at the current probability). You are again playing a 3-fold accumulator – you are completely sure about two betting options. These safe bets each have odds of 1.4. The third option is a bit more lucrative and has odds of 2.0. Please ensure – if possible – that the so-called banks (safe bets) take place before the riskier betting options. So the two betting options at odds of 1.4 are completed and have been won. Now the 3rd betting option starts (assumption: a football match with odds of 2.0 for the chosen Team A to win). Team A takes the lead in the 65th minute – however, the match is on a knife-edge and if you concede a goal, you would not only lose the odds of 2.0 but also the two already won bets with odds of 1.4 each. The advice from Wett-bonus.net: Stay sensible and secure a safe profit – instead of risking everything. In our case, the profit would be as follows: 100 euros multiplied by 1.4 multiplied by 1.4 for the betting options already won on your bet slip. Before game number 3 (betting option number) has started, you have a hypothetical bet slip value of 196 euros. In the 65th minute, team A scores – odds 2.0 – to take the lead. The odds for a team A win would then drop to 1.2. You take a look at your bet slip – menu item "Open Bets" and you are offered an amount of around 300 euros. By clicking on " **Cashout** " you have immediately secured 200 euros in betting winnings. The risky option – which you shouldn't choose – is to hope that team A scores another goal or that the game ends 1-0. Then you would bag a betting win of 392 euros (196 euros multiplied by odds 2.0). However, if team B were to equalise or even win, you would have lost 100 euros.
