Playbaze Review 2026 – Sports Betting on the 1xbet Platform Put to the Test
Playbaze launched in 2026 and is one of the new bookmakers on the market. Under one roof you’ll find a betting programme with over 50 sports and special categories, its own eSports section, horse and greyhound racing, plus a casino with live tables. Sports betting runs on the same platform used by 1xbet, which explains the huge number of events and markets on offer.
What stood out most in our test was how fast Playbaze pays out: our 1000-euro withdrawal was in our account after two minutes. New customers cover their first bet with a 50% freebet with no upper limit, there’s no betting tax to pay, and payments run through the usual channels – card, bank transfer, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Playbaze shows weaknesses in odds below the top leagues, in the monthly withdrawal limit, and in not having its own app.
Playbaze Bonus – 50% Freebet
Playbaze doesn’t offer a percentage top-up on your first deposit for sports betting. Instead, your first pick is covered: if it loses, half of your stake comes back as a freebet – with no maximum and no wagering requirements. No bonus code is needed.
How the freebet promotion works
- Open an account and activate the offer – before your first deposit.
- Deposit at least 20 euros.
- Place your first sports bet as a single bet with odds of at least 1.80 and at most 3.00.
- If the bet wins, it’s paid out as normal. If it loses, Playbaze credits 50% of the stake as a freebet.
Freebet terms at a glance
- The freebet must be used within 7 days.
- It carries no wagering requirements and no minimum odds of its own.
- There’s no upper limit: the credit grows with the stake of your first bet.
- The offer can be used exactly once per customer.
- Order matters: activate first, then deposit and bet.
Playbaze itself calls the promotion a “Risk-Free Bet”. It isn’t entirely risk-free though, since only half the stake is refunded. Players who’d rather start on slots and live tables can choose a separate casino welcome offer instead of the freebet.
Cashback and promotions for existing customers
Once you’re signed up, the bonus programme stays fairly modest. A fixed feature is a weekly 10% sports cashback on net losses:
- The refund ranges from 5 to 100 euros per week and is also free of wagering requirements.
- You need to activate the promotion and deposit at least 50 euros.
- Single bets and accumulator bets with odds between 1.80 and 3.00 count towards it.
- Cancelled, void and refunded bets are excluded from the calculation.
Playbaze also puts together a ready-made pre-match and live accumulator every day (“Accumulator of the Day”), each with a 10% odds boost. Time-limited special promotions crop up occasionally around major tournaments. There’s no VIP or loyalty programme, and no reload bonuses either.
Playbaze Review, Rating, Pros and Cons
Our test withdrawal of 1000 euros by bank transfer arrived within two minutes. Deposits start from 10 euros: on your first deposit you can use credit card, Apple Pay, Revolut or Trustly, and after that also Google Pay, bank transfer, MiFinity or prepaid cards. Cryptocurrencies are missing. Worth noting are the withdrawal limits of 1000 euros per transaction and 10,000 euros per month, plus an 8% deduction if the deposit hasn’t been wagered through at least once beforehand.
New customers get half of their first stake back as a freebet if their first bet loses – with no upper limit and no wagering requirements. Existing customers get a weekly 10% cashback, though there’s no VIP programme.
If you’re after a large betting programme, fast payouts and familiar payment methods, Playbaze is worth a closer look.

Website and Language
Playbaze’s interface is dark blue, with yellow accents highlighting buttons and important notices. On desktop, content is spread across three columns: sports and their competitions on the left, matches with odds and stats in the middle, and the bet slip with open and settled bets on the right. Because each column scrolls independently, the bet slip stays visible at all times.
The header leads to Sport, Live Sport, Promotions and eSports. The sidebar lists favourites, recommendations and the most important competitions and matches; a search function and filters by sport or league shorten the path to the game you want. On a match page, Playbaze shows more than just odds – a countdown to kick-off, the venue, the weather and win probabilities as percentages. The markets themselves are sorted into collapsible groups.
A lot can be customised to taste. Users decide which markets appear first in the overview, switch between one- and two-column layouts, hide their balance, and choose which events – goals or corners, for example – trigger instant notifications. The price for all that information: newcomers need a short adjustment period.
The site is available in ten languages: German, English, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Polish, Czech, Hungarian and Greek. You switch via the flag icon top right. The notices on privacy, verification and responsible gambling are also available in English, though the terms and conditions contain the occasional English-only section. Alongside sports betting, Playbaze runs a casino with several thousand games from studios like Evolution, Hacksaw Gaming and Pragmatic Play; the live casino alone offers around 400 blackjack tables.
Registration
An account is set up within minutes – via the registration form, by phone number, or with a Google account. You’re asked for your country and currency, euros for customers in Germany; after that your email address or mobile number is confirmed. A promo code can optionally be entered during sign-up. Using a VPN or proxy is prohibited under the terms of use.
Mobile Use Without an App
There’s no dedicated app for either iPhone or Android. Mobile betting happens in the browser, where the full feature set is available: sports and live betting, casino, deposits and withdrawals, chat and promotions. A fixed bar at the bottom of the screen leads to Sport, Casino, Profile and Promotions, and the bet slip has its own button. Events can be filtered by time or date, and on mobile too you can choose which default markets appear in the overview.
In one measurement, the site loaded in 3.4 seconds. One weak spot showed up when testing the homescreen shortcut, which consistently reported a login error – the issue didn’t occur in the phone’s regular browser.
Betting Offer
On an average day the programme covers more than 5,000 events. Football accounts for the lion’s share, reaching 1,600 to over 2,500 matches in our spot checks; behind it come table tennis, horse racing, eSports, tennis and ice hockey, among others. Alongside other staples like basketball, volleyball and handball, Playbaze carries plenty of disciplines you won’t find elsewhere: padel and pickleball, fencing and water polo, bandy, hurling, lacrosse or arm wrestling. Horse, harness and greyhound racing form their own focus area, ante-post bets included.
Football is where the selection goes deepest. Over 1,200 betting markets are available for top matches, and in individual spot checks there were more than 1,300. Even second-tier fixtures usually still reach 500-plus options. Coverage includes the match result, goal totals and handicaps as well as stat bets on corners, throw-ins, offsides, fouls, shots on goal or hitting the post. There are also player bets on goalscorers, assists and headed goals, plus more unusual picks – for example how long a draw lasts, whether the goalkeeper gets sent off, or how often VAR intervenes.
Fans of German football will find 20 leagues including the regional leagues; one spot check even turned up matches from sixth-tier Verbandsliga football. Down to Regionalliga level there are often still over 500 bet types per match, which is unusual for these divisions. In the Verbandsliga the selection shrinks to just under 30 markets. Other sports are leaner: a basketball game offers around 50 options, a tennis match around 20.
Special Markets and Outrights
One quirk is the “player duel” on goals. You put together two groups from up to ten players in total – five against five, three against one, or mixed across both teams if you like – and bet on which group scores more. The odds are calculated individually for each combination, though the market is only available on desktop. With “1X2-2UP”, the bet is already won once your chosen team goes two goals ahead at any point. In exchange, the odds are lower than for a standard three-way bet.
Outright bets go beyond top scorer, champion and relegation. You can bet on who’s top of the table after a given matchday, or whether a club beats a set points total by season’s end. The selection for the European cup competitions is similarly large, and occasionally even manager sackings and transfers make it onto the slip.
eSports and Special Bets
eSports has its own homepage with a good dozen titles, including League of Legends, CS2, Valorant, Dota 2, Rainbow Six and Rocket League. Depending on the game, the offer ranges from ten up to 1,000 markets, covering things like individual maps, frags or player stats. Under the “Cyber” tab you’ll also find short eFootball matches.
The programme doesn’t stop at sport. There are also bets on the Nobel Prize, elections and other political decisions, as well as music awards, films, TV series and shows. The “Polybet” category held over 2,300 bets in one spot check: German mayoral elections, US politics, the Oscars, the Grammys and Eurovision, but also Google search trends, weather events or the first snowfall of the year. Lotto and Toto round out the selection.
Live Betting
The live section sees more than 30,000 matches a month. A football match typically comes with over 400 live markets, and for big matches the number of options can run into four figures. It’s not just about winner and goals: who scores next and how, who gets the next corner, or what happens in a given time span are all available – as are player stats like shots, fouls, assists and cards. In tennis you can bet on who wins the next game, in basketball on how many points the next quarter brings.
The live payout ratio sits between 93 and 95%. In the Premier League, Serie A or Bundesliga, common markets – 1X2 or Over/Under – typically reach around 94.5%. For basketball and tennis, live odds come out a touch weaker than pre-match, which the many handicap and special markets compensate for to some extent. After goals, red cards or breaks, affected markets are briefly suspended and then reopened with new odds.
Despite the sheer volume, the live view stays easy to read. A match centre shows the score, match minute, line-ups, live table and a timeline; running alongside are stats on possession, expected goals, dangerous attacks, shots on goal, corners and pass completion. Odds changes are colour-coded, green or red with a directional arrow. A test bet was accepted in around six seconds.
Cashout lets you sell a running bet fully or partially, even in the closing stages. “Multi-Live” is also handy: up to four matches can be followed simultaneously on a page you put together yourself. A preview shows which fixtures are about to go live.
Less convincing are the live streams. While broadcasts are listed for many events, mostly from smaller leagues, the site regularly reported in testing that the broadcast wasn’t available in this region for German viewers. A small animated pitch graphic serves as a substitute, which looks rather tiny on desktop.
Betting Odds and Limits
Playbaze doesn’t quite reach 1xBet’s level of odds. There, payout ratios above 98% are often hit on major football and US sports events, while Playbaze sits at around 95% in the top competitions. That matches the industry average and is acceptable, but it’s one of the provider’s more noticeable weak points. One thing balances it out: the 5% betting tax isn’t deducted, so your stake stays intact.
What stands out is how evenly the big leagues are priced. In a sample of seven Bundesliga matches, every 1X2 market fell within a tight band of 94.8 to 95.0%. A broader review of 92 matches produced an average payout ratio of 94.1%, meaning a bookmaker margin of just under 6%. Below the top leagues, the level drops:
| Competition | Payout ratio (rounded) |
|---|---|
| Bundesliga | 94.8% |
| Premier League | 94.9% |
| 2. Bundesliga | 93.5% |
| 3. Liga | 90.8% |
| Austrian Bundesliga | 93.7% |
| Swiss Super League | 93.5% |
| NFL and NHL | 94.9% |
| Tennis (US Open) | 94.9% |
| UFC | 94.8% |
The weakest performer is the 3. Liga, whose matches consistently came in between just 90.0 and 91.0% – it’s worth checking the competition here. In the DFB-Pokal we measured a margin of around 7%, and 5.35% each in the EuroLeague and a WTA tournament. In eSports, major tournaments like The International are priced more keenly at 5.3% margin than smaller competitions at 7 to just under 8%.
Betting Features
The toolkit includes cashout with a slider for partial sales, one-click betting, where a preset stake is placed on the odds with a single click, and win-probability displays as percentages on two- and three-way markets. Selected events can be saved to the bet slip and reloaded later. What’s missing is a bet builder, which would let you freely combine several picks from one match. Odds boosts only come in the form of the daily accumulator with its 10% uplift.
Stake Limits
The minimum stake is 20 cents. When it comes to upper limits, Playbaze is generous: for Champions League matches, the bookmaker accepts five- and even six-figure stakes. If the maximum for an event is used up, the same bet can be placed again at a slightly lower price – so-called stringbets are possible.
Deposits at Playbaze

On your first deposit the choice is still limited: only credit card, Apple Pay, Revolut and Trustly are available. Only after that does Playbaze unlock considerably more payment options – the screenshot shows that extended selection.
The payments area is then split into four groups. Under “Bank cards” you’ll find Mastercard and Visa cards plus Google Pay and Apple Pay, under “Bank transfers” Instant Bank Transfer, the classic transfer (Pay via Bank), Revolut, Sofort and Wise. MiFinity represents e-wallets, while Paysafecard and Flexepin cover prepaid cards. Cryptocurrencies aren’t part of the offer.
Every method has a minimum of 10 euros; for the freebet promotion it needs to be at least 20 euros. Playbaze charges no fees, and funds are usually available immediately. In the extended selection, maximum amounts vary considerably by method:
| Method | Limit per deposit |
|---|---|
| Visa, Mastercard | 10 to 1,000 euros |
| Apple Pay, Google Pay | 10 to 2,500 euros |
| Instant Bank Transfer | 10 to 500 euros |
| Pay via Bank (transfer) | 10 to 15,000 euros |
| Revolut | 10 to 15,000 euros |
| Sofort | 10 to 3,000 euros |
| Wise | 10 to 4,000 euros |
| MiFinity | 10 to 2,500 euros |
| Flexepin | from 10 euros, no maximum stated |
| Paysafecard | from 10 euros |
Limits can vary by account; the values shown in your own account are the ones that apply. Trustly is only part of the initial selection and no longer appears in the later overview. Deposits may only be made from accounts and cards held in your own name.
Important for later: every deposit should be wagered through in full at least once. Otherwise, under the terms and conditions, the provider withholds 8% of the withdrawal amount, with a minimum of 4 euros.
Withdrawals at Playbaze

Five routes are open for withdrawals: bank transfer, credit card (Visa, Mastercard) and the e-wallets Skrill, Neteller and MiFinity. Skrill and Neteller are withdrawal-only methods and can’t be used to deposit. As a rule, money is returned by the same route it arrived.
| Method | Limit per withdrawal |
|---|---|
| Bank transfer | 20 to 1,000 euros |
| Visa, Mastercard | 10 to 1,000 euros |
| Skrill | 10 to 1,000 euros |
| Neteller | 10 to 1,000 euros |
| MiFinity | 20 to 1,000 euros |
A maximum of 1,000 euros can be withdrawn per transaction – even though the payments area displays 4,000 euros as the upper limit. On top of that there’s a monthly limit of 10,000 euros. Once your balance reaches ten times the total of all deposits made so far, this limit is halved to 5,000 euros. Large winnings can therefore only be withdrawn in stages.
Where Playbaze sets the pace is speed, earning it a place among the bookmakers with fast payouts. Our test withdrawal of 1,000 euros by bank transfer was requested at 10:58 and had arrived by 11:00. A further practical test also reported approval in under two minutes. You shouldn’t bank on that blindly, though: the terms and conditions allow the provider up to seven working days, depending on the payment method. Requests are processed around the clock, and no fees apply as long as the deposit has been wagered through once.
Verification
Playbaze doesn’t pay out without a confirmed identity. Verification happens directly in your profile and covers four steps:
- Phone number: confirmation via a code sent by SMS.
- Identity: a photo of your ID card, passport or driving licence.
- Address: a bill no more than 90 days old, for electricity or phone for example, or a bank statement.
- Payment method: for card payments, for instance, a partially blacked-out photo of both sides of the card.
In one practical test, verification was done within a few hours; the terms and conditions allow up to 72 hours for document checks. In individual cases, Playbaze may also request video verification, which can take noticeably longer. Requested documents should be submitted promptly, as the terms allow only one month for this.
Security and Player Protection
Playbaze operates under an international gambling licence. There’s no German licence, which is why neither the OASIS exclusion system nor the LUGAS limit file are connected. Data is transmitted encrypted, though two-factor authentication for login is missing.
For self-control, the customer account comes with its own tools:
- Deposit limit per day, week or month – a reduction takes effect immediately, an increase only after 24 hours.
- Time-out of one day, one week, one month or three months; deposits and betting are blocked during this time.
- Self-exclusion, either for one, three, five or ten years, or permanently; logging in is then no longer possible.
A dedicated limit for stakes or losses is missing, though. History is handled well: every payment and bet is listed with stake and result and can be filtered.
Support
The fastest help comes from live chat, built directly into the site. Before you start, you choose one of seven languages, including German, English and Spanish. A chatbot goes first; describe a concrete problem and you’re quickly passed to a human agent – within two minutes at most in our tests. The German-language replies are partly produced with the help of a translation tool, but were understandable and on point. Handy touch: the chat history is saved and can be reopened later.
Playbaze states its personal support window as daily from 9am to 9:30pm. In one test, replies also came in occasionally later in the evening. Outside these hours, there’s email at support@playbaze.com; a test query was answered in detail and in flawless German after around nine and a half hours. There’s a separate address for security questions.
Playbaze can’t be reached by phone. The FAQ section has only 17 entries and in one test was only found on the mobile view. According to the provider, complaints may take up to 28 days to process, with a response aimed for within a few days. Objections to how a bet was settled must be reported within three days.
